3. Are you specifically experienced in residential home inspections?
Related experience in construction or engineering can be helpful. However, there is no substitute for a home inspector that specializes in residential home inspections. House Detective Inc. has home inspectors that specialize in both residential and commerical real estate.
4. Does the home inspector offer to do repairs or improvements based on the inspection report?
Most states will not allow the home inspector to do repairs based upon the inspection. This is found to be a conflict of interest.
