I have to apologize for the delay in getting this update posted. John and I having been working on the little details and the finishing touches of the kitchen cottage makeover. We are at the point right now of getting the forms built for the concrete counter tops, which are plywood at the moment. We are going to play around with the crushed oyster shells to see what kind of look we want to achieve. Once the counter tops are in we are going to install a simple white subway tile back splash. I have a few photos that I took while working in the kitchen while we still had lots to do (but you can still get the idea of what it is sort of going to look like) - I will not be posting the final results for a few weeks - after the concrete counter tops cure and are installed.
