As Hurricane Irene barrels toward the East Coast, my chats with friends in Savannah, Charleston, and the Outer Banks of the Carolinas always seem to come around to "make sure your boots are handy". Even though it hasn't rained in Texas for months now, I couldn't live with out my Wellies. Call me a fake, but I think they are so much better for gardening than cowboy boots (and I have a few cowgirl friends who will agree!)..
Perfect for mud, protection from fire ants, armor against flying strings and blades of grass when weed eating; wellies are so easy to slide on and off that you will wind up wearing them to the grocery store:)
